Amr Diab finally decided on the title of his new album that is to be
released on 7/7/2007. The album is to be entitled 'El-Leila Di'.
It is worth mentioning that Diab delayed the release of this album
several times. It was supposed to be released on the new year’s eve,
then it got delayed to Valentine’s day. It was then said that he once
again delayed it till June 10th; the birth date of his first daughter
Nour. Diab finally settled on July 7th.

 Producer and director Sharif Sabri, business
manager of Egyptian singer Ruby, has signed a contract with the
production company Alam El Phan and broken the previous one he had with
the company “Rozana”.
Ruby’s albums will now hold the logo of the new company. The
singer’s latest album “Misheet Wara Ihsasi” (I followed my feelings) is
scheduled to be aired on all music channels in the upcoming days.
Sharif had broken the contract with Rozana after he discovered that
the company had neglected to properly promote Ruby’s album leading
sales of to be very low, opposite of what was anticipated.

 Egyptian actor Muna Zaki was awarded an Oscar
for her outstanding performance in the films “Al Ishiq Wa El Hawa”
(Love and Romance) and “Dam AL Ghazal” (Deer Blood).
Muna’s husband actor Ahmad Hilmi accepted the awards at the Egyptian
movie Oscars sponsored by ‘Arab Radio and Television’ (ART) and ‘EG
Films,’ since Muna was traveling. Himi himself received an award for
‘best comedian’ for 2006.

 Microsoft Corp announced today the appointment of Ali Faramawy as vice president, Microsoft International, with executive responsibilities across business strategy development and business operations for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
Microsoft International is responsible for all sales, marketing and
services activities for the regions outside of North America. Faramawy
will report directly to Jean-Philippe Courtois, president Microsoft
International, senior vice president Microsoft Corporation.
